Have you ever seen how to make a Valencian paella at La Casa de la Fragua in one minute? It is one of the advantages of the barbecue and the best of all is to enjoy eating it on the porch, accompanied by very good people, and watering it with some good wines.

She sure was hot!

If you don’t know how to make it, that’s okay. Another option is to go to Los Naranjos restaurant in Torrecaballeros (a village near Tenzuela) and taste a paella made by a Valencian. For the record, I have nothing to do with them, only that when I don’t feel like cooking, this is the place where they make the best rice dishes in the area. And if you prefer to eat baked lamb or suckling pig, which is typical of the land, I recommend other places like El Rincón de Belén in Basardilla, El Rancho de la Aldegüela in Torrecaballeros or Restaurante Manrique in Sotosalbos.

What did you think of this one-minute time-lapse of how to make Valencian paella at La Casa de la Fragua? I look forward to your comments. If you need the recipe… ask me and I will send it to you. Now, I’m telling you that eating a paella at La Casa de la Fragua with its wood-fired flavor and friends… it’s not the same 🙂
